Event Ticketing Terms

These terms govern Ticketistan's current events marketplace, including event discovery, reserved or general-admission tickets, checkout, payment verification, QR admission and organizer services.

Effective and last updated: 31 October 2026

Please read before buying or listing an event. By placing an order, using a ticket, creating an account or using organizer services, you agree to these Terms and the event-specific information displayed before checkout. Future Ticketistan products may have separate or additional terms.

1. Who we are and scope

Ticketistan Technologies (SMC-PVT) Ltd is an SECP-registered software house in Pakistan. Ticketistan.com (“Ticketistan”, “we”, “us”) is its event discovery and ticketing product. Registered office: Office 3070A, World Trade Center, Giga Mall, Sector F, DHA Phase II, Islamabad, Pakistan. Contact: support@ticketistan.com.

These Terms apply only to the events service presently offered through Ticketistan. “Buyer” means the person placing an order; “Attendee” means a ticket holder; and “Organizer” means the approved registered business responsible for the event.

2. Ticketistan's role and the Organizer's role

Ticketistan provides technology for event listing, inventory, checkout, payment facilitation, ticket issuance, QR validation, customer support and controlled organizer reconciliation. An approved Organizer creates and operates its event and remains responsible for the event's accuracy, venue, performers, schedule, permits, safety, accessibility, age restrictions and delivery.

Where permitted by our payment arrangements, Ticketistan may receive buyer funds as a disclosed collection facilitator for the relevant Organizer. Gateway-paid, bank-settled and organizer-paid are separate states. Ticketistan does not treat a browser return page, screenshot, message or buyer assertion as proof of payment.

3. Eligibility, accounts and guest checkout

  • You must have legal capacity to contract. A parent or legal guardian must place an order for a minor where required.
  • You may buy as a guest. You are responsible for keeping the private order access code secure.
  • Account information must be accurate and kept secure. You are responsible for activity performed through your credentials unless you promptly report compromise.
  • Event-specific age, identity, dress, health, accessibility and entry rules remain binding where clearly disclosed and lawful.

4. Prices, orders and payments

Prices are displayed in PKR unless stated otherwise. Before commitment, checkout shows the ticket subtotal, disclosed buyer-paid payment charge, applicable tax, discount and total. Organizer commission is normally deducted from the Organizer's proceeds rather than silently added to the buyer's ticket price.

  • An inventory hold or order reference is not a paid ticket. Holds expire at the stated time.
  • Payment is gateway-paid only after Ticketistan validates a server-to-server result from Bank Alfalah or another approved provider.
  • A payment authorization may later be reversed, refunded, disputed or remain unsettled. Settlement is not the same as payment authorization.
  • Ticketistan does not store card numbers, CVV or banking OTPs. Payment providers process payment credentials under their own terms and security controls.
  • Obvious pricing, inventory or technical errors may be corrected before payment. After confirmed payment, we will not silently increase the agreed total.

5. Tickets, seats and admission

A valid ticket is issued only after verified payment and successful issuance. Reserved-seating tickets identify the allocated section, row and seat. General-admission tickets grant entry to the stated area but do not promise a particular seat, row or standing position.

  • Each QR token is unique. The first valid scan may consume the ticket; copied, altered, refunded, revoked or already-used tickets may be refused.
  • Do not publish QR codes or private access codes. Ticketistan may securely reissue a ticket and revoke the old token where identity and entitlement are verified.
  • Admission remains subject to the event-specific rules, lawful venue security checks, capacity and safety directions.
  • Resale, automated purchasing, counterfeiting or transfer outside an expressly supported Ticketistan flow is prohibited. An unsupported transfer may not be recognized.

6. Buyer cancellation, event changes and refunds

The event page states the applicable cancellation and refund policy. A buyer's change-of-mind cancellation is available only where that policy or applicable law allows it. Requests must be made through Ticketistan support using the verified order contact.

Cancelled event

If an Organizer cancels an event, Ticketistan will communicate the verified cancellation and administer the refund or other remedy required by the disclosed policy and applicable law. A refund is complete only when confirmed by the payment provider; bank processing times may apply.

Postponed, rescheduled or relocated event

Tickets may remain valid for a materially equivalent new date or venue. Where the change is material, Ticketistan and the Organizer will state the available options, relevant deadline and any lawful refund entitlement. Minor timetable, supporting-act or venue-layout changes do not automatically create a refund right unless the event policy or law says otherwise.

Disclosed gateway charges or taxes are refundable only to the extent recoverable and lawful. Nothing in these Terms removes a non-waivable consumer right. Refunds are returned through an approved method after verification; Ticketistan will never ask for a card PIN, CVV or OTP to process one.

7. Acceptable use, fraud and chargebacks

You must not interfere with the service, bypass inventory controls, scrape at scale, abuse promotions, attempt unauthorized access, upload malicious content, impersonate another person, launder funds, create fraudulent orders or use tickets commercially without written permission.

We may rate-limit, suspend, cancel or investigate activity reasonably linked to fraud, security abuse, sanctions, payment disputes or unlawful conduct. A chargeback does not itself establish that a ticket was invalid; duplicate recovery is prohibited. Tickets linked to a completed refund, reversal or verified chargeback may be revoked.

8. Organizer-specific obligations

Only approved registered businesses may publish events. Organizers must complete KYB, prove authority and settlement-account ownership, accept the applicable organizer agreement, and maintain accurate event, pricing, capacity, tax, refund and contact information.

Organizers must obtain permits and rights, provide a safe lawful event, honor valid tickets, protect attendee data, use attendee information only for the relevant event, and cooperate with cancellations, refunds, disputes and investigations. Publishing and payouts remain subject to Ticketistan approval, reconciliation, configurable holds, reserves and maker-checker controls.

9. Service availability and intellectual property

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may perform maintenance or restrict features to protect buyers, Organizers or the platform. Ticketistan software, branding and original content are protected; limited personal use does not transfer ownership or permit copying, resale, reverse engineering or unauthorized commercial use.

10. Responsibility and limitation

Ticketistan remains responsible for its own platform operations and cannot exclude liability that applicable law does not permit to be excluded. To the maximum extent lawful, Ticketistan is not responsible for an Organizer's acts, event performance, third-party venue conditions, attendee conduct or losses caused by events outside reasonable control.

For a claim directly caused by Ticketistan's breach in connection with an order, aggregate contractual liability will not exceed the amount paid through Ticketistan for that affected order, except for fraud, wilful misconduct, death or personal injury caused by negligence, breach of confidentiality or data duties, or another liability that law does not allow us to limit. Neither party is liable for indirect or consequential commercial loss where exclusion is lawful.

11. Governing law, complaints and disputes

These Terms and electronic transactions are governed by the laws of Pakistan. Electronic records, acknowledgements and acceptances may be retained and relied upon in accordance with applicable law. Courts of competent jurisdiction in Islamabad, Pakistan will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer forum or jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Before formal proceedings, please email support@ticketistan.com with the order reference, event and requested resolution. Do not email payment credentials, OTPs or full identity documents unless an authorized secure upload is provided.

12. Changes and precedence

We may update these Terms as the events product, law or payment arrangements change. The effective date will be shown above. Material changes will apply prospectively and will be communicated where reasonably required. The version accepted at order time governs that order unless a later change is required by law or is more favorable to the buyer.

If an event-specific policy conflicts with these Terms, the event-specific policy controls only for that event and only to the extent it was clearly disclosed and is lawful. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.
